In the same year as having his song \u201cLike I Would For You\u201d recorded by top 10 Canadian Idol, Karen Lee Batten, which culminated in a nomination for Song and Single of the Year by the BC Country Music Association, on the other side of the world another Irving song \u201cTogether Again\u201d recorded by Mink, one of Japan\u2019s top recording artists, was the featured theme song in the hit Japanamation movie \u201cVexille\u201d\u2026.while in Europe, by way of Nashville, Norwegian recording artist, Wenche, garnered a Gold Record for her recording of Ron\u2019s tune \u201cHoldin\u2019 Out For A Hero\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFrom the Other Side\u201d a song co-written by Ron with Lynda McKillip and Tom McKillip (CCMA Producer of the Year 2007) was performed live at Vimy Ridge in France on April 9th, 2007 for French Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin, Canadian Prime Minister, Stephen Harper, and Her Majesty The Queen at the 90th Anniversary celebrations of the Canadian Forces taking Vimy Ridge during WW1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hong Kong\u2019s superstar Jacky Cheung recorded Ron\u2019s ballad \u201cSomething Only Love Can Do\u201d in Mandarin, Cantonese and English and the song was included in the Asian soundtrack for the Disney blockbuster, \u201cDinosaur\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
